CHANGE IS AS GOOD AS A HOLIDAY!
Now don't panic, nothing has REALLY
changed, other than we can now duly (and proudly)
display our Financial Services Board certificate in our
reception room. What does this mean ?Well, in real
terms, nothing more than what we always have had, except
that we had to re-register with the FSB under the FAIS
and FICA bills, thus confirming that all partners are
registered CFP's (Chartered Financial Planners).
Other than that, what's happening out
there ? Well, You have probably heard about all this
money your friends are making in property, you've read
that the JSE keeps making new highs and that those who
followed the herd and rushed to take their money
offshore five years ago, are now decidedly poorer -
remember the hype that saw the Rand crashing to R 20 to
the $ ?? All of this really supports the fact that that
one should consult with a financial planner to assess
your long-term financial needs, and a decent one will
point out the benefits of a diversified portfolio, hence
the existence of Brantam, and the confirmation that we
are registered financial planners.
So, next time Aunt Matilda leaves you
a few bob in her will, remember that some structured
